学部長からのメッセージ

世界水準で学び抜く覚悟はあるか。

留学を経験した日本人学生の多くが実感するのは、海外の学生がいかに多くの時間を勉強に費やしているかということです。グローバル化が進む現代社会では、彼らと同じように勉強しながら、彼らの文化を理解し、高い専門性とともに学際的な知見を備えた人材が求められています。
本学の国際教養学部は、皆さんに「世界水準」で学ぶ環境を提供します。そのため、私は下記の3つのPrinciples（原則）を掲げ、国際教養学部を運営していきます。
  1. Student orientation（大学は学生のためにある）
  2. Student engagement （学生にも積極的に意見を述べてもらい、教育を改善していく）
  3. Achievement focus（勉学の成果を重視する）

国際教養学部には2つの専攻があります。経済経営学専攻とグローバルスタディーズ専攻です。本学伝統の少人数のゼミ教育に加え、多様なバックグラウンドを持つ教員とともに学びましょう。将来、世界を舞台に活躍するために、本気で学びたいという意欲ある学生を歓迎します。ぜひ、われわれの国際教養学部で学び、世界に羽ばたいてください。

  • Are you ready for a world-class education?

    Many Japanese students who study abroad realize how much time students in other countries spend studying. In today's increasingly globalized world, students in Japan also need to be prepared to study in the same way as these students overseas, in order to gain an understanding of other cultures and to obtain a high degree of expertise and interdisciplinary knowledge. The School of Liberal Arts and Sciences at our university is committed to providing a world-class education. In order to ensure this, I will run the new school based on the following three principles:
    1. Student orientation (the school exists for the sake of students)
    2. Student engagement (we encourage students to give feedback to continually enhance our programs)
    3. Achievement focus (we focus on helping students achieve real results inside and outside the classroom)

    The School of Liberal Arts and Sciences offers two programs: the Economics and Management Program, and the Global Studies Program. In addition to benefiting from our traditional seminar-based education, students have the opportunity to study with faculty members from a diverse range of backgrounds. We welcome students who are eager to learn and who wish to play an active role on a global stage in the future. We look forward to welcoming you to the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences — your gateway to the world.

プログラミングも教養の１つ

プログラミングも「教養」の１つという認識のもと、国際教養学部ではプログラミングの課外講座を毎年提供しています。
2022年度は6月～8月にProgate社のオンラインプログラミング学習サービスを課外講座として国際教養学部グローバルスタディーズ(GS)専攻の学生全員にアカウント(有料版)を提供しました。
2023年度はProgate社のアカウント(有料版)を国際教養学部の希望者全員に、またCourseraを在学生の希望者全員に提供しています。
※各アカウント料、履修料は大学が負担します。
