Department of Liberal Arts and Sciences
Economics and Management Program aims to train talented people who can demonstrate leadership in a globalized society, business, and academic research world by imparting in-depth Specialized Knowledge of economics and business administration, knowledge of mathematics and statistics, critical thinking and logical thinking skills, and through seminars, developing presentation and discussion skills and collaborative skills.
Global Studies Program aims to train talented individuals who can use in-depth Specialized Knowledge and intercultural understanding in Global Relations, Global Communication Studies, and Global Cultural Studies, as well as critical thinking and advanced English language proficiency, to collaborate with others to solve the various problems that arise in our globalized society.
Diploma Policy
- Students have the ability to learn broadly and deeply in accordance with the spirit of liberal arts and sciences, which encompasses the subject categories of General Education Courses, Foreign Language Courses, and Specialized Courses
- Students will have acquired interdisciplinary knowledge, culture, practical skills, and creativity across the natural sciences, humanities, and social sciences, and will have the ability to continue learning with intellectual curiosity even after graduation.
- Ability to use English fluently in a variety of situations in a multicultural environment
- Acquire knowledge of diverse civilizations, the global environment, politics and international relations, economics and technology, and social and cultural trends, with an attitude of questioning the world from Japan as a foundation for learning.
- Based on deep Specialized Knowledge, students will be able to use critical thinking, intercultural understanding, and English language proficiency to effectively gather information and obtain useful information, and will also have the ability to demonstrate intellectual creativity based on data and materials to identify and solve problems.

Department of Liberal Arts and Sciences
Based on mathematics and statistics, the degree of "Bachelor of Economics and Business Administration" is awarded to those who have acquired the required credits by acquiring the knowledge, skills, attitudes, logical thinking, statistical methods, etc., as outlined in the faculty's common Diploma Policy policy in specialized fields centered on economics and business administration. Students in this major can also obtain a degree from the University of London by taking classes offered by the faculty under Partnership with the University of London.
A Bachelor's degree in Global Studies is awarded to students who have acquired the knowledge, skills, and attitudes outlined in the Faculty's common Diploma Policy, research into contemporary society, and cross-border comparative cultural studies and Japanese studies.
Curriculum Policy
- General Education Courses are designed to provide students with a comprehensive perspective, wide-ranging knowledge, deep culture, and the ability to work with others and put things into practice. They cover the fields of "Information and Communication," "History and Culture," "Modern Society," "Nature and Environment," "Mind and Body," and "Life Management and Career Design." These subjects determine the credits students should earn from their first to fourth years until graduation.
- Foreign Language Courses are considered essential for building a foundation for taking classes in English, which is a distinctive feature of our undergraduate education, and English courses taught in small classes are set up as compulsory courses. Elective subjects are also set up so that students can study a variety of languages other than English.
- The common subjects for School of Liberal Arts and Sciences include subjects that foster basic skills and practical abilities that should be acquired regardless of major, as well as subjects that are meaningful to learn beyond the boundaries of majors. Subjects that foster practical English ability include "Language Proficiency Test Preparation 1, 2" and "Language Proficiency Test Preparation (Intermediate) 1, 2"
- Seminar courses will be required. In addition, the Capstone Project, in which students summarize their four years of academic learning in a paper or other form, will be required as a culmination of their studies at the faculty.
- Lecture courses are arranged with the aim of acquiring the necessary broad and in-depth knowledge and deepening understanding in each field that is the subject of specialized research.
- In order to allow students to gain deeper knowledge and broader perspectives by studying a variety of fields and areas beyond the boundaries of their majors and faculties and by taking more Specialized Courses, we offer major-specific subjects from among university-wide subjects, common subjects School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, subjects Economics and Management Program, and subjects in Global Studies Program. There will also be the option of a minor.
- Promote cumulative academic learning through numbering, and present a course tree by systematically arranging courses.
- academic learning outcomes are assessed comprehensively depending on the type of subject, including (1) knowledge and skills, (2) thinking, judgment and expression skills, and (3) initiative and cooperation. Regarding the assessment method, the knowledge and skills required in the class and Score will be clearly stated in the syllabus, and specific assessment methods will include quizzes, various mid-term assignments, presentations, field surveys, end-of-term exams and reports, etc., and the assessment percentage for each element will also be presented. Regarding the "Capstone Project," which summarizes the final results, the assessment method will be stated in the syllabus and course guidelines.

1. Establish a Parallel Degree Programme (PDP) between the University of London and our university to provide world-class undergraduate education
2. "Introduction to Economics (a)," the foundation for learning economics, will be made a required major subject, and basic major subjects and prerequisite courses will be set up to encourage systematic academic learning of economics and business administration.
3. Establish courses to help students acquire numerical information processing skills in the fields of statistics and econometrics.
4. To enable students to acquire advanced English language skills, compulsory Foreign Language Courses will be provided from the first to second year.

2. Introductory courses "Survey of Global Studies 1, 2" and "Survey of Transcultural Studies 1, 2" will be offered as basic major subjects to teach basic knowledge about the major field and basic research methods in the specialized field.
3. Global Relations, Global Communication Studies, and Global Cultural Studies will be set up as specialized fields, and lecture and seminar courses will be set up to deepen knowledge and understanding in each field.
4. Provide overseas learning opportunities, such as short-term overseas field training and long-term study abroad programs, to help students acquire communication skills, the ability to take initiative, and in-depth Specialized Knowledge through academic learning in a different culture.

- Those who have seriously studied at High School, acquired basic knowledge, skills, thinking ability, judgment, expression and communication skills, and have the ability to be independent and cooperate. They wish to enroll after fully understanding the admissions policy of each department.
- Those who have high level English proficiency, roughly equivalent to CEFR B1 level or above
- Those who have a deep understanding of the issues facing a globalized society and aspire to become global leaders. Those who are interested in intercultural understanding and diversity, and are eager to develop an attitude of respect for others.
- Those who independently deepen their intellectual interests, practice The Three Founding Principles of "independent study and self-reflection," and have the desire to actively participate in seminars and other learning environments that require collaboration with a spirit of cooperation.
