General Education Courses
The purpose of General Education Courses is to acquire multifaceted Comprehensive Knowledge and practical skills. They are divided into six fields. You can deepen your learning by taking the two sections, lectures and practical courses. You will gain knowledge and skills that you cannot get from studying at a faculty or department.

Information and Communication
We develop the knowledge and skills needed to learn, live, and work in an information society. We offer a wide range of courses, including those on information, statistics, and communication, as well as practical classes that use ICT to hone your expressive skills.

[Featured Class] Digital Media Training
This class will develop practical skills to access and utilize digital media that is shared globally across borders. Students will also acquire correct knowledge of media and data formats, character codes, copyrights, etc. Classes are conducted in English, so this class is also recommended for those considering studying abroad or traveling abroad for other reasons.
History and Culture
Students will study the history of humanity from a global perspective and deepen their understanding of traditional cultures, ideologies, and religions in Japan and around the world. They will also engage in practical cultural research, such as training in reading literature and investigating cultural assets.

[Featured Lesson] Historical Awareness in the Global Era
Specific examples and works will be introduced regarding the formation process, current state and spread of modern history, as well as its subject and methodology. The goal is to acquire knowledge that will enable students to look back on the past, acquire various perspectives on history, and propose perspectives and coordinate axes to overview the progress of human history up to the global era.

[Pickup Class] Modern Society and Human Rights
What are "human rights"? It is difficult to grasp them in the peacefulness of everyday life, and it is only when "violations" occur that we become aware of them as something that "should be protected." In order to shed light on "human rights" from various aspects of society, the class will be held in a relay format with a different lecturer each time. By visualizing "violations," students will reconsider the "human rights" that should be acquired and protected, and gain a variety of perspectives.

In the spring semester, students will understand the meaning of work and the concepts that form the basis of career design, and in the fall semester, they will learn about the practical aspects of work and an overview of skill development.
