Class Introduction
financial theory
This is the most basic lecture course in Department of Finance. After understanding the types, functions, and motivations for holding money, students will learn more about Japan's financial system. Through the supply and demand of money, students will also consider the interrelationship between interest rates, prices, and the real economy (production and distribution of goods and services).
investment policy theory
After learning about risk and return, which are the basics of finance, students will understand portfolio management that takes into account the risk of price declines. Students will also learn about investment trust management evaluation, conduct corporate analysis, and evaluate corporate value. Students will also work on case studies based on actual examples.
Financial Institution Management Theory
This course examines the instability of the financial system caused by the collapse of the bubble economy after 1990 and the government's response. Students will also learn about the theoretical basis of financial regulation, the BIS regulations (an international framework for banking supervision) and the sophistication of risk management at financial institutions, as well as the problems and future prospects facing Japan's financial system.

Securities Market Theory
You will learn the basics of the short-term money market, bond market, and foreign exchange market, as well as bond pricing and asset management. You will also learn about the stock market and derivatives market. We will also introduce the latest topics from time to time so that you can understand economic news in a more familiar way.

Unlike domestic investments, foreign investments require exchange rate strategies, so it also covers exchange rate determination, exchange rate risk, and the current state of the foreign exchange market.
financial statistics
Prices and interest rates of financial products change daily, and are important data for understanding trends in the financial and securities markets. This course explains the basics of finance mathematics, probability, and statistics required for data analysis. It also aims to teach information processing techniques using published data.
Financial reporting theory
This course covers the scope of the Financial Analysis exam, one of Exam subjects. The study content ranges from the scope of the Nissho Bookkeeping Examination Level 1 to financial statement analysis and corporate valuation.

It is essential for the development of the national economy that companies can smoothly raise the funds necessary for their business activities.
