Message from the Dean
Specialized knowledge and the ability to learn
Global warming, foreign workers, gender equality, rising prices, labor shortages... What are you interested in? From global issues to everyday ones, Faculty of Economics sets challenges you want to pursue according to your diverse interests, deepening and spreading knowledge through studying economics, business administration, and finance, while tackling those challenges. While acquiring specialized knowledge in each field is important, it is also crucial to be able to approach problems from diverse perspectives, to think and apply what you have gained, and to cultivate the ability to learn independently. One of the features of Faculty of Economics is that students can freely study a wide range of fields regardless of faculty or department. Focusing on seminar education from the first year to four years, together with peers who offer insights you might not have thought of on your own, you will enhance your ability to "research and think independently," moving closer to your goals.
Dean of Faculty of Economics
