School of Liberal Arts and Sciences to open in April 2022

School of Liberal Arts and Sciences consists of one department and two majors, and is a department that offers comprehensive studies based on liberal arts and sciences education (General Education Courses, Specialized Courses, Foreign Language Courses, which includes a wide range of humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences), and classes conducted in English to master specialized areas. In addition, based on the founding The Three Founding Principles * principles, the department fosters global leaders who can lead the way in promoting innovation and overcoming crises, equipped with collaborative skills based on respect for others.

In order to provide a world-class learning experience in Japan, we have gathered faculty members with a wide range of specialized fields from Japan and overseas, including those with degrees from overseas universities, and provide thorough small-group education. Each faculty member's classes also support interactive and active learning, such as discussions and fieldwork, just like at universities overseas.

Classes are mainly conducted in English, so students can acquire practical and advanced English language skills. In order to make it possible to take these classes, each major also has an intensive curriculum aimed at improving English proficiency. We also provide opportunities to broaden your horizons by experiencing different cultures, such as overseas training, study abroad, and internships, in addition to improving your language skills.

By taking a wide range of courses, students can acquire broad knowledge of world civilizations and societies, deep thinking and judgment skills, intellectual creativity, and the ability to identify and solve problems.
