Global Subjects

Anticipating the turbulent trends of the world economy, two global courses are offered to keep pace with the times.
We directly address the realities of corporate activities and the challenges they face, and actively learn about the realities of overseas business.

Overseas Internship

Sharpen your business sense through global work experience

Overseas Internship
In the current era of globalized corporate activities, it is important to gain global experience early on and acquire global thinking and practical skills. In the "Overseas Internship," you will learn marketing and strategy through local business experience, mainly in Asia, deepen your understanding of different cultures, and build the foundational skills needed to succeed overseas. To ensure steady acquisition of knowledge and experience, we have organized systematic programs such as pre-study sessions and post-return report meetings, providing thorough support to each participant.
*My current training destination is Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Depending on the situation, the training location and implementation methods may change.

Internship Process (Example)

*This is just one example. Changes may occur depending on circumstances.

STEP1

  • We conduct research on the economic conditions, business environment, and culture of the visited regions, and set training objectives. Presentations of the survey content and goals are conducted to share knowledge among participants and boost motivation for the training.

STEP2

  • You will do an internship at an overseas training facility. After taking a basic lecture on the research topic, for example, if marketing is the theme, we conduct market research and collaborate with local people to achieve the assigned mission.

STEP3

  • At the report meeting, you will present your experiences and points for reflection gained from your overseas internship. It is an opportunity to reflect on the internship, reflect on yourself, and consider working abroad as a way to deeply consider your future academic learning plans at university and your post-graduation path.

POINT

Students who are unsure about their language skills can participate with peace of mind.

This course is designed as an "introductory course that opens the door to becoming a global leader," intended for students with little overseas travel experience or first- and second-year students. By working together with local Japanese staff and local students studying Japanese, we help address language gaps. Also, local accommodations are prepared in advance, so even those with little overseas experience can study with relative confidence. For students who wish to further improve their English skills through this course, we offer a wide range of programs supporting foreign language learning and cross-cultural understanding, such as MCV, Short-term Language study abroad program, and studying abroad.

Global Corporate Research

Proposing solutions to the challenges faced by companies expanding overseas

When conducting business globally, we face various challenges such as developing products and services for local customers and securing sales channels. In "Global Company Research," students form teams to analyze and propose solutions to the real challenges faced by companies expanding overseas or pursuing overseas expansion. You will be evaluated from a realistic perspective. Through these projects, the aim is not only to deepen understanding of global companies but also to hone world-class thinking and collaboration skills.

Flow of Learning (Example)

*This is just one example. Changes may occur depending on circumstances.

STEP1

Explanation from the Company

A representative from the company providing the project will explain the current status and challenges of our global business expansion. Afterwards, we conduct interviews and literature research to gather information necessary for creating a solution to the problem.

STEP2

Analysis and InterIm Reports

Based on the collected information, we conduct analysis aimed at solving the issues, present the results at the interim reporting meeting, and collect comments from representatives from the companies providing the issues. By synthesizing the analysis, the information we heard, and comments on the interim report, we begin summarizing the proposed solutions to the issues.

STEP3

Presentation

At the final report meeting, the person in charge at the issue provider company presents the proposed solution to the issue. It tests whether the problem was accurately analyzed, effective solutions were created, and the expectations of the problem provider company were met.
