Musashi University is the first private university in Japan to establish Department of Finance. In this department, you will learn a wide range of topics, from the fundamentals of finance such as how finance works, determining interest rates and stock prices, to the field of financial engineering that creates new financial products.

In the 'Liberal Arts Seminar' taken in the spring semester of the first year, students use textbooks written by our faculty to firmly acquire the basics of finance within six months. If you thoroughly and broadly study Department of Finance subjects, you will reach the level to pass the Securities Analyst Level 1 exam. In the 'Securities Analyst' subject, students study exam preparation for three subjects required in the exam: 'Securities Analysis and Portfolio Management,' 'Financial Analysis,' and 'Market and Economic Analysis,' in a small group.
