Minor

You can acquire comprehensive knowledge and skills in fields other than those of your faculty or department. Broaden the scope of your learning with a view to your future career development.
The minor is part of our liberal arts and sciences education. Liberal arts and sciences refers to a flexible combination of basic academic knowledge, specialized research, and foreign language learning. Liberal means "free," and this word has been used in the Western world since ancient Greece and Rome to mean "befitting a free citizen." Arts broadly refers to academics or the arts and sciences. Science means science, including humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. In order to tackle the various issues of modern society, it is necessary to apply basic knowledge of AI and information-related subjects, as well as mathematics, statistics, physics, and medicine.

Expand your possibilities with an extra bit of Specialized Knowledge

The minor is a system in which students can choose a second area of expertise, with the aim of acquiring a multifaceted perspective and problem-solving skills. We have established the "Minor in Entrepreneurship" to cultivate practical management skills with the aim of starting a business, the "Economics & Management Minor" to study in English the state of the economy and companies as globalization progresses, and the "Minor in Global Studies" to acquire knowledge and advanced English language skills appropriate for global citizens. In the future, we plan to further develop minors that will deal with themes directly related to the issues of modern society.
