Faculty of Sociology

Characteristics of the Faculty of Faculty of Sociology

  1. A seminar that all students must take. A graduation thesis, graduation project, and graduation activities are mandatory.

In the first year, students take basic and applied seminars to build a foundation for studying sociology. In the second year, students take methodology seminars to learn about interviews, questionnaire surveys, and media production techniques. In the third year, students take specialized seminars to delve deeper into their research themes, and in the fourth year, they work on their graduation theses, graduation projects, and graduation activities, cultivating logical thinking and concentration skills.

  2. Fieldwork and creative practice to experience society firsthand

Fieldwork outside of school and practical training in creating content for video works, commercials, and the web are valuable learning opportunities that allow students to experience the real world of society. Learning in the Department of Faculty of Sociology allows students to experience the "field" by analyzing data that companies actually use and going out with a camera to conduct interviews.

  3. Every year, many "social researchers" are produced. Learn various social analysis methods.

Social research is a specialized technique for scientifically grasping the real state of modern society, such as market research by companies, statistical surveys by the government and local governments, and opinion polls by the media. The Faculty of Faculty of Sociology is committed to training "social researchers." Students can obtain the qualification by earning credits in designated subjects, and over the past five years, the faculty has produced an average of about 20 social researchers per year.
