Global Service Learning
Although this is a subject in the GS major School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, it is open to students from all faculties and anyone can take the course. The purpose of "service learning" is to participate in community service activities based on local needs, and to use what you have learned to solve problems.
From the multiple programs available, you can choose the one that best suits you based on your interests, duration, and budget, and participate individually.

Eligibility

*Those enrolled in a regular course at this university
●1st to 4th year students
・Summer: First-year students are not eligible to apply. Students graduating in September must attend the report session held in September and submit their report by the end of September. ・Spring: Fourth-year students must attend a report meeting to be held in March after returning to Japan and submit a report. - Have sufficient English proficiency for the desired activity *Those who can attend all scheduled interviews, pre- and post-study sessions (there are no make-up days for those who are absent)
●Those who can obtain the approval of a guarantor
●Those who can comply with program notes and submission deadlines
● Understand Musashino Gakuen's "The Three Founding Principles of Founding," and especially "research and think for yourself" before the training begins.

School of Liberal Arts and Sciences Global Studies Program Short Term Study Scholarship: Students who meet certain conditions and pass the selection process will receive a maximum of 200,000 yen.
[Students majoring in other fields]
Overseas Field Research Programs Scholarship: A limited number of students who pass the selection process for a course of 2 credits or more will receive 150,000 yen (upper limit for Asian programs)
Alternatively, you may receive a grant of 200,000 yen (up to the American program limit). |

Past Programs
[Hawaii, USA] Glocal Leadership and Awareness Development (GLAD) project 2024
Through this program, participants will gain a deep understanding of how global issues and local issues, or "glocal," are closely intertwined, and will develop the ability to think critically and consider deeply in order to resolve these issues.
Students will stay on the islands of Hawaii and Oahu, representing Musashi University and Japan, and will have the opportunity to interact with students from diverse cultures, environments, and economic backgrounds.
