List of courses

At Liberal Arts and Sciences Education Center students learn the basics of natural science for the Earth and people, and how to live healthy lives, through General Education Courses of "Nature and Environment" (Group D) and "Mind and Body" (Group E).
Below is a list of General Education Courses taught by faculty members affiliated with Liberal Arts and Sciences Education Center.

Global citizens should know about the Earth. Climate change, ozone layer destruction, global warming, desertification, acid rain, deforestation, destruction of ecosystems. We analyze these crises from the perspectives of physics, chemistry, and biology, and simulate the future. We think about what we can do and what we should do.

*2 [Environmental Fieldwork around Musashi
Musashi University maintains a campus that is blessed with greenery and water, even though it is located in an urban environment adjacent to the extremely busy Route 7. In this practical class, students will walk all over this lush campus, investigating and researching the natural environment and confirming the circulation of the ecosystem.

Mind and Body

The aim is to think about the mind and body of people holistically and to acquire and practice the skills and attitudes required for health promotion. Students can choose from a wide range of practical subjects that are suitable for them.

*1 [Science & Health of Mind]
Are you frustrated because things aren't going well? Are you having a bad day because you can't sleep well? If the answer is YES, you need stress management. This lecture will scientifically explain the human mind and discuss various mental disorders. It will definitely be useful for your student life.

*2 [Adapted Sports Workshop]
Adapted sports are practiced with people with disabilities and the elderly. For example, sitting volleyball is played by people who cannot walk while sitting. Able-bodied people also join in and play under the same conditions. Why don't you give it a try? Although it is a practical class, theoretical considerations will also be conducted.
