How to proceed with the project

A two-step system to help you grow

In the first half of the session, each faculty will apply their expertise to analyze the issues presented by the companies from different angles. After the preliminary research stage by faculty, the results will be presented at an interim presentation, after which the inter-faculty activity stage will begin. As a joint team, the students will share information about the results of their research so far, confirm the social issues facing the companies in charge and their current state of response, and then hold discussions about how they want to create our future. Then, in order to compile the proposals that the team came up with into a booklet, they will decide on the concept and content, write the articles, and lay out the layout. At the final presentation, the booklets will be distributed to the company representatives, who will evaluate them, and the students will announce the process, discussions, and research that led to the completion of the social issue proposals and booklet.
A two-step system to help you grow

How to proceed with the project

STEP 1: Presentation from the project provider

STEP1
On Saturdays, we invite a representative from the company providing the assignment to give a presentation on the company's profile. The assignment from the company is to make a proposal to address the social issues surrounding the company. After the presentation, students will be divided into inter-faculty teams and introduce themselves to the representative, after which they will be able to ask questions directly from various perspectives, such as the company's management policy and philosophy.

STEP2: Phase 1 - Preliminary survey by faculty

STEP2
Participants will be divided into faculties and will thoroughly research the companies they are responsible for, conducting preliminary research into the policies and content necessary for the "proposals for social issues" that will be presented in the second half of the program. The content will be tailored to the expertise of each faculty, and will include <a multifaceted analysis of the actual state of corporate activities> <exploring corporate culture using history and philosophy as clues> <investigating the concepts of CSR, CSV, and SDGs * and the social issues surrounding companies>. At the mid-term presentation, company representatives will be invited to give a presentation on the results of the research.

* The SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) are international goals aimed at achieving a sustainable and better world by 2030, as set out in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development adopted at the United Nations Summit in September 2015.

STEP3: Phase 2 - Interdisciplinary activities

STEP3
After the midterm presentation, the inter-faculty teams will get to work in earnest. They will bring together the information they have researched in Phase 1, pool the knowledge of each faculty, and come up with proposals to solve social issues facing companies. They will keep in close contact with company representatives, hold repeated discussions, and discuss concepts, content, and designs that are appropriate for the company's way of thinking, and also create a pamphlet.

STEP4: Final report meeting

STEP4
At the final presentation, the participants will make simple copies of the booklets they have created and distribute them to the companies and visitors. They will also present their proposals for addressing social issues and the process, discussions and research they went through to complete the booklets. This will be a day to test whether they were able to create something that exceeds the expectations of the company representatives.

Introducing our own SNS to facilitate information sharing

Introducing our own SNS to facilitate information sharing
In this project, we use our own SNS to facilitate smooth communication between company representatives and members of different faculties. In addition, in the blog, students write about their activities for each day of class. This is a good opportunity to reflect on themselves, and is useful for self-analysis and self-promotion in job hunting.
Examples of use
Faculty
After each seminar, students post about the contents of the class on a blog, providing information to other faculty members working on projects and facilitating collaboration.
Join each seminar community and post your advice and opinions.
Student
At the end of each seminar, students reflect on what they have learned and write in a blog to keep as a record of their growth.
In communities based on each seminar and each company, students from the same seminar and from other departments share information and discuss division of labor, etc.
If you have any questions for the company that arise while working on the assignment, post them in the community of the company in question.
Company representative
Answer questions from students in a community run by our students.

Career counseling to help you get to know yourself

Career counseling to help you get to know yourself
Advice from a career consultant* is not just an evaluation of results, but an important element in encouraging the growth of each individual student. A professional career consultant registered with the Japan Productivity Center will conduct individual interviews three times in total: before the seminar begins (pre-seminar), after the midterm presentation (mid-seminar), and after the final presentation (post-seminar). By having a thorough discussion with the professional based on the details of the self-evaluation sheet, students can discover their own strengths and weaknesses that they had not noticed before, and by utilizing these in seminar activities, the aim is to encourage greater growth.

*Career consultants are professionals who provide various types of consultation and support to people seeking employment. They provide individual consultations to help job seekers design their careers based on their aptitude, abilities, experience, etc., and to help them make effective career choices and develop their professional skills.
