About Health Clinic
Health Clinic provides support for both the physical and mental wellbeing of your student life.
There are nurses on-site at all times, so please feel free to come to our office if you have any questions.
Periodic Health Checkups
In accordance with School Health and Safety Act and University Regulations, students are required to have a periodic checkup once a year. Be sure to have a health checkup to assess your health.
If you have not undergone the health checkup, we will not issue a health certificate. If you are unable to attend the health check by the designated date, please contact the Health Clinic for further instructions.
Based on the results of health checkups, we arrange medical consultations and hospital referrals for follow-ups, detailed examinations and treatment. This enables us to help prevent, detect and treat health issues at an early stage, while also promoting good health among students.
Health Consultation
If you are feeling unwell, depressed or unmotivated, please feel free to contact us.
We also have days when the school doctor can be consulted, so please contact us if you are interested.
First Aid
We provide first aid for injuries and sudden illnesses on campus.
If treatment is required, we will refer you to a medical institution.
*We do not provide medications.
Self-Health Management
You can check your height, weight, body fat percentage and blood pressure at Health Clinic. Also, you can take an alcohol patch test to find out your constitution against alcohol. (The dates for the alcohol patch test will be announced in 3S.)
You can also browse books about health and diet.
Health Insurance Card for Remote Residents [Domestic Students]
If you live away from your parents, you must obtain a "Health Insurance Card for Remote Residents" and carry it with you. If you do not carry it with you and visit a medical institution, you will have to pay at your own expense. Copies of your insurance card are not valid.
For National Health Insurance, submit a Certificate of Enrollment to the city or town hall in the student's hometown. For all other cases, the certificate must be submitted to the parent or guardian's place of employment.
School-Designated Infectious Diseases
To prevent the spread of infectious diseases, we recommend getting vaccinated when you are in good physical condition if you have not received any necessary vaccinations yet. Some infections are more likely to become severe when contracted in adulthood.
If a student is diagnosed with School-Designated Infectious Diseases as defined by School Health and Safety Act, attendance will be suspended for a specified period to prevent mass infection (e.g. tuberculosis, influenza, measles, chickenpox, whooping cough, COVID-19, etc.). If you contract a School-Designated Infectious Diseases, please contact Health Clinic as soon as possible and follow the prescribed procedures.
