Undergaduate school
Based on the "The Three Founding Principles" of the university's founding, Musashi University cultivate global leaders who can contribute to promoting people-to-people exchanges across the world and resolving organizational, regional, and global issues, and work on intellectual exploration and practical activities in their own immediate surroundings, equipped with well-balanced comprehensive and specialized knowledge, the ability to work together with others, and practical skills acquired through liberal arts and sciences education." Aware of this, the university awards degrees to students who have acquired the following knowledge, abilities, and attitudes through liberal arts, i.e., comprehensive, cross-disciplinary education and research, and science, i.e., through the exploration and practice of basic and applied sciences.
- Broad knowledge, deep culture and sufficient knowledge in the field of study
- A proactive and critical learning attitude that encourages self-research and self-thinking
- Ability to communicate and have empathy to understand different cultures, work with diverse people, and contribute to society
- Global thinking and sufficient foreign language proficiency to support it
- Practical ability to utilize the results of academic learning and learning attitudes in the real world throughout one's life
Graduates

This is also the university's vision.
Students who have studied for the required period, earned credits, and acquired the following abilities and qualities will be awarded a Master's degree if they pass the Master's thesis or specific research examination and the final examination in Master's Program, and a Doctoral degree will be awarded to students who pass the Doctoral thesis examination and the final examination in Doctral Program.

Master's Program
- Advanced knowledge in related and specialized fields as determined by each graduate school
- The research ability in a specialized field as an independent researcher or the outstanding ability to take on a job requiring a high level of expertise as a professional
- Acquire the ability to analyze and research themes appropriately, and have the ability to logically convey one's own opinions and views based on previous research, as well as the skills and expression required for writing, communication, etc.
- The ability to take an interest in various social issues, utilize advanced knowledge, and proactively work to solve problems through dialogue or collaboration with others
Doctoral Program
- The wide-ranging and outstanding specialized knowledge expected of a researcher or highly specialized professional
- Ability to conduct original, autonomous, and advanced research activities in a specialized research field
- Ability to acquire advanced analytical and research methods related to research themes, and to draw original conclusions and make proposals
- The ability to communicate and express research results to the academic and educational communities, and to society at large
- Ability to utilize advanced insight into unresolved problems and proactively work towards resolving them
