Industry-academia collaboration for regional revitalization

In March 2018, Musashi University signed a Partnership Agreement on the promotion of cooperation in industry-academia collaboration for regional revitalization with the Ikebukuro Branch of the Japan Finance Corporation. Through this collaborative cooperation, we aim to expand the career options of our students, promote industry-academia collaboration in the region, and contribute to the development of local communities.

Details of the collaboration

Providing information on small and medium-sized enterprises, etc., utilizing research results from Musashi University on regional revitalization

  • Providing Results of Research and Development Activities: Musashi University will provide the results of its research and development on regional revitalization as information that contributes to the management of JFC clients.
  • Providing information on regional revitalization cases from around the country: Providing information on various initiatives and support cases related to regional revitalization from around the country, collected through the Japan Finance Corporation's nationwide network of 152 branches and the research activities of its Research Institute.

Providing information and acting as a bridge to local governments and economic organizations working to revitalize local communities

  • Holding lectures and symposiums such as the Regional Revitalization Forum: We will jointly hold various seminars and symposiums in collaboration with local governments and economic organizations.
  • Joint implementation of various study groups: Conduct joint study groups on regional revitalization, such as business study groups.

Support for developing human resources to lead local businesses

  • Internship: The Japan Finance Corporation will conduct workplace tours and other activities to allow students to gain work experience related to their own learning and future career paths. It will also introduce students to and provide information on companies that can accept them.
  • Provision of courses by the Japan Finance Corporation: The Japan Finance Corporation will hold lectures for undergraduate students at Musashi University on the role of small and medium-sized enterprises in regional revitalization and on the topic of starting and starting a business.
