University Evaluation

Accreditation

From 2004, every Japanese university must be evaluated within each 7-year authorization cycle. In 2021, Musashi University received accreditation from the Japan University Accreditation Association (JUAA). The results confirmed Musashi University conforms with JUAA University Standards.
This certification is valid until March 31, 2029.

Peer evaluation

In order to enhance the reliability and validity of the annual Self-Assessment and Evaluation and to further improve the internal quality assurance system, the University began mutual evaluation in 2016 with Seijo University, one of the five liberal arts schools (Gakushuin University, Seikei University, Seijo University, Musashi University, and Konan University) with its roots in the former High School, which are similar in size and offer departments in the same fields. In addition, from FY2023, we will begin mutual evaluations with Seijo University, which has faculties in similar fields. In addition, from FY2023, mutual evaluation will be conducted among the three universities: Musashi University, Seijo University, and Konan University.
The evaluation results for our university are announced as follows:

External Evaluation

Based on Article 10 of Musashi University Internal Quality Assurance Regulations and Musashi University Internal Quality Assurance Policy, an External Evaluation Committee was established in 2018 to evaluate the objectivity and validity of Self-Assessment and Evaluation results and the effectiveness of internal quality assurance, with the aim of improving education, research, management, and administration at the university.

2022 External Evaluation Committee

In 2022, the university Third Medium-term Plan written evaluation and held a discussion session with relevant parties based on the contents of the "2021 Self-Assessment and Evaluation Report" and the "2021 Report on Compliance with the Private University Governance Code," which were based on the university's "Third Medium-Term Plan Performance Report."
