University

Undergaduate school

Musashi University organizes and implements its educational curriculum in accordance with the following guidelines, based on the "The Three Founding Principles" on which the university was founded, as well as the university's "Basic Educational Goals" and Diploma Policy.
  1. Small-group seminar education will be the foundation of learning, and seminars and small-group compulsory classes will be arranged as Specialized Courses for each faculty in each year from 1st to 4th.
  2. In order to acquire broad knowledge that transcends the boundaries between the humanities and sciences, deep culture, and the ability to work with others and to have practical skills, we have established a university-wide General Education Courses consisting of six fields. In order to ensure small General Education Courses group education, we have also established practical subjects in each field.
  3. In order to cultivate sufficient English skills to cope with the globalizing society, we will provide compulsory English classes centered on small classes, and also offer Foreign Language Courses that correspond to multilingual and multicultural learning.
  4. We will establish University-Wide Specialized Courses students as a system that allows students to learn Specialized Courses in other fields beyond the boundaries of each faculty.
  5. Based on the educational and research objectives and Diploma Policy of each faculty, Specialized Courses are arranged so that students can learn their major field in a gradual and systematic manner.
  6. Graduation theses, graduation projects, seminar papers, etc. will be arranged as a culmination of specialized academic learning in each faculty.
  7. The GPA system will be strictly implemented to properly evaluate academic learning outcomes. In addition, each faculty and department will determine a method for comprehensively and comprehensively evaluating knowledge and skills, ability to think, make decisions, express themselves, and take initiative and cooperate with others.
  8. To develop leaders for the global society, we will establish programs and courses that utilize the unique characteristics of each faculty.
  9. Establish minor majors as learning units that complement the specialized academic learning (major majors) of each faculty.

Graduate school

Musashi University University Graduate School organizes and implements its educational curriculum in accordance with the following guidelines, based on the "The Three Founding Principles" on which the school was founded, as well as the university's "Basic Educational Goals" and Diploma Policy.

Master's Program

  1. Specialized Courses are systematically arranged to allow students to acquire advanced specialized knowledge and skills in related and specialized fields as determined by each course of the graduate school.
  2. Under a systematic research guidance system led by a supervising professor, we will provide courses for each subject and establish a system where students can acquire advanced research skills through individual guidance.
  3. The acquisition of knowledge, skills, communication skills, and expressiveness will be evaluated through the examination of the master's thesis or specific research topic and the final examination.
  4. Regarding independence and ability to collaborate, etc., we will grasp them through presentations of research results, etc.

Doctoral Program

  1. Specialized Courses are systematically arranged to allow students to acquire the wide-ranging and outstanding specialized knowledge and skills required by the graduate school.
  2. In order to enable students to acquire the ability to conduct original, autonomous, and advanced research activities in their specialized research fields and the academic knowledge that serves as the foundation for such activities, we will establish a systematic research guidance system centered on a supervising professor and provide a forum for presenting research results.
  3. The acquisition of knowledge, skills, communication skills, and expressiveness will be evaluated through the doctoral dissertation review and final examination.
