Article 1. The Society shall be called the "Musashi University Society for the Study of the History of the Fusion of Eastern and Western Cultures." The English name is Musashi University Society for East-West Cultural Studies.

Article 2. The Society aims to conduct research into the history and current state of exchange, conflict, and fusion of Eastern and Western cultures, and to publish the results of its research both domestically and internationally from a global perspective, thereby contributing to the promotion of academic research and the deepening of mutual understanding among the races and nations of the Eastern and Western world.
Activities
Article 3. In order to achieve the objectives set out in the previous article, the Association will carry out the following activities:
(1) Research and studies on the specific aspects of exchange, collision, and fusion of Eastern and Western cultures
(2) Holding study meetings to share research content
(3) Holding lectures, symposiums, etc. to publicize research results both domestically and internationally
(4) Publish research results in academic journals both within and outside the university, and in books, in order to publicize the results both domestically and internationally.
(5) Other matters necessary for the operation of the Association.

Article 4. The Association is composed of members who agree with the Association’s objectives.
2. When joining the Society, applicants are recommended by other members, and their name, affiliation, academic degree, research content, etc. are verified at the time of the seminar, and approval is obtained from those in attendance.

Article 5. The Study Group shall have a representative.
2. The representative will be elected by mutual vote at the general meeting from among the full-time faculty members of Musashi University (hereinafter referred to as "full-time faculty members of this University").
3. There is no set term for the representative.
4. The representative will oversee the affairs of the association and be responsible for running the research group and holding the general meeting.
5. In the event of an accident to the representative, a full-time faculty member of the University designated in advance by the representative will act in his/her place.
General Assembly
Article 6. The general meeting shall be convened by the representative of the Association at least once each year to approve or resolve the following matters:
(1) Establishment, amendment and abolition of regulations
(2) Matters concerning the selection of representatives
(3) Activity planning and reporting
(4) Other matters related to the operation of the Association
2. A general meeting shall be valid with the attendance of a majority of the members.
3. Decisions on the agenda shall be made by majority vote of those in attendance.
Secretariat
Article 7. The secretariat of this Association shall be located in Research Support Division Musashi University.
2. When necessary for the operation of the Society, RAs (Research Assistants) may be appointed.
Others
Article 8. In addition to those matters set out in these regulations, necessary matters concerning the operation of the Association will be decided through consultation between the Representative and the Secretariat.
Supplementary Provisions
These regulations shall come into effect on the day of the inaugural general meeting. However, the inaugural general meeting shall be attended by the representative and members approved by Musashi University Comprehensive Research Organization Management Committee during the preparation stage of the Association's launch.
