2025年度の活動報告
Hironori Takeuchi (representative of the research group)
Activity results
In fiscal year 2025, the following activities were carried out in line with the first and second of the three pillars defined by this research group: "outreach to society," "creation of research communities," and "enhancement of research environments."
Communication to Society
The theme of AI social penetration that this study group addresses is not only interesting to researchers but also to various practitioners from their respective perspectives, so we held a public seminar led by researchers and practitioners active on the front lines. To make it easier for practitioners to participate, we organized an online seminar in the evening. In fiscal year 2025, three public seminars were held as follows.
• 6th Public Seminar (May 30)
・ Theme: Toward Trustworthy AI Systems -- How to Measure AI Quality?
・ Lecturer: Fuyuki Ishikawa (Associate Professor, National Institute of Informatics)
• 7th Public Seminar (July 30)
・ Theme: Current Status, Challenges, and Future Vision of Software and System Development in the Era of Generative AI
・ Lecturer: Naoyasu Ubayashi (Professor, Waseda University)
• 8th Public Seminar (January 28)
・ Theme: Promoting DX at Universities -- Through Practice at Kagawa University
・ Lecturer: Rito Yaegashi (Professor, Kagawa University)
Creating a research community
As a venue for presenting research, we collaborated with the Japan Society for Artificial Intelligence to co-host a research presentation at our university as follows.
• 4th AI Social Penetration Research Presentation (March 16)
・ Co-hosted with the Knowledge Distribution Network Study Group of the Japanese Society for Artificial Intelligence
・ Number of presentations: 5
Additionally, members of the study group visited other universities and companies to hold workshops. Discussions were held on topics such as "Designing Dialogue Services Using Generative AI" and "Visualizing the Business Value, Cost, and Risk of AI Services," and discussions were made to plan seminars from fiscal year 2026 onward.
Furthermore, he sponsored The Sixteenth International Conference on Information, Intelligence, Systems and Applications (IISA) together with Piraeus University in Greece and others.
Future developments
In fiscal year 2026, we will continue our activities from the perspectives of "outreach to society," "creation of research communities," and "enhancement of research environments."
Communicating with society
Public seminars will be held online in the same format as until fiscal year 2025. In fiscal year 2026, the goal is to hold 3-4 seminars, planning seminars on themes such as "Long-Life Software," "Virtual Human Generation Models and Their Application in the Healthcare Field," "RoboCUP," and "Data Engineering."
Creating a research community
Continuing to hold research presentation meetings at our university in collaboration with research groups from the Information Processing Society of Japan and the Society for Artificial Intelligence. Additionally, we will continue to co-host (sponsor) IISA in fiscal year 2026 and consider inviting overseas researchers attending international conferences held in Japan to our university to hold workshops. As before, the study group actively supports members in creating new research communities with external researchers.
Improving the research environment
We will continue to hear from a wide range of study group members and continue to improve the book.
