Activity results

In order to achieve the objectives of this study group, which are to deepen academic knowledge for building a sustainable society and economy and to stimulate research activities that contribute to building a sustainable society and economy, this study group has been working to build a research system through exchanges and discussions with related researchers both in Japan and abroad.
In 2023, the first year of the research group, research activities were centered on research seminars inviting researchers from Japan and abroad. This year, the research group held a total of 15 research seminars and workshops, including those co-hosted with funding from other research sources and those co-hosted with other external research groups (Japan-Tokyo Resource and Environmental Economics). In particular, in the research seminars and workshops held so far, we have been able to invite not only researchers affiliated with Japanese research institutions, but also researchers conducting research activities overseas, and as part of our research activities in the first year, we have been able to obtain multifaceted knowledge for building a sustainable society and economy. Future developments

Regarding future developments of this study group, in order to achieve the purpose of this study group, which is to advance research that contributes to the creation of a sustainable society and economy, we plan to continue to hold study groups, research seminars, research workshops, etc. inviting related researchers from Japan and abroad. In addition, based on the knowledge gained from the study group's activities so far, we will more actively promote joint research that utilizes the network that has been created between the study group members and through the study group's activities. In addition, while the majority of the study group's members are currently researchers in the social sciences, we would like to more actively engage in exchanges with researchers in other academic fields and develop study group activities so that study group members can also participate.
