About the Musashi Community Business Research Association
The above research group was established at Musashi University Research Institute in 2003. When people hear the term "community business," some may imagine traditional shopping streets, others may think of nursing care businesses, others may think of cram schools or dry cleaning shops, and there are many different types of business organization, including corporations, sole proprietorships, and NPOs. Research can be conducted from the perspective of users, from the perspective of business management, and from the perspective of the government. There is also the possibility of broadly studying the relationship between business and community, without being limited by the name of this research group.
Our research group does not decide on research subjects or methods in advance. However, we share a common understanding of the importance of the role that business plays in local communities, and we would like to deepen our understanding of community business and work toward the goal of contributing to the development of local communities, including Nerima Ward, where Musashi University is located.
