Musashi Social Science Research Group Regulations

Article 1: This research group shall be called the Musashi Institute for Social Sciences (hereinafter referred to as the Association).

the purpose

Article 2: The aim is to address the challenges of globalization of Japanese universities proposed by the government, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, conduct world-class research on the economy and society, contribute to the promotion of research and education in Musashi University, and widely disseminate the results to the world. Our research themes focus on important contemporary global issues such as economic development, finance, economic depression, environment, gender, and inequality.

Activities

Article 3: The association shall carry out the following activities to achieve the objectives set forth in Article 2.
(1) Holding International Symposiums
(2) Hosting International Seminars
(3) Editing international academic journals (Japanese Political Economy)
(4) Other necessary matters

member

Article 4: Members of the Association shall be referred to as Fellows. To join the Society as a Fellow, a recommendation must be obtained from a fellow of the Society. Upon admission, membership such as affiliation, degree, research achievements, and international experience must be confirmed at the Society's meeting as stipulated in Article 5, and approval procedures shall be conducted by a simple majority vote of attendees.
2. A representative shall be appointed to the society. The representative shall be elected by mutual vote among the fellows.
3. The representative oversees the association's affairs.
4. The term of office for the representative shall be five years, and reappointment shall not be prevented.
5. In the event of an accident involving the representative, a fellow designated in advance by the representative shall act on behalf of the representative.

Article 5: Meetings shall be convened by the representative.
2. The meeting shall decide on necessary matters related to the operation of the association and approve new members.
3. The representative may, if necessary, allow non-fellows to attend the conference.

Secretariat

Article 6 The secretariat of this association shall be located at Musashi University General Research Institute.

Others

Article 7: In addition to those stipulated in these regulations, matters necessary for the operation of the Association shall be determined by the representative in consultation with other fellows.


Supplementary Provisions: These regulations shall come into effect on the date of the association's establishment.
