Message from the Chairman

Improving the Quality of Student Life through a Trinity — Collaboration Among Students, Parents' Association, and Schools —

I am Naohiko Tamura, and I will serve as the Musashi University Parents' Association President for the 2026 fiscal year. Although our efforts may be small, we will work together with the officers to ensure that students, Parents' Association, and the school work together to support each other, making your university life more fulfilling. Thank you very much for your continued support.

Parents' Association is an organization that supports students to enrich their student life based on the membership fees entrusted to you. Until I started serving as an officer, the impact of COVID-19 made it difficult for students to live campus life as they wished. Despite limited opportunities and uses for activities, the funds accumulated were last year used to enhance the hardware aspects supporting the campus environment, such as dishwashing in the cafeteria of Building 2.

Going forward, in addition to improving these environments, we have discussed expanding support on the software side that makes student life more accessible. While consciously returning the collected membership fees to students as much as possible within the academic year, we are gathering honest feedback through student surveys and gathering opinions from faculty and staff to consider concrete initiatives to realize this goal. This fiscal year, we plan to respond to requests regarding the installation of water heaters and water dispensers, as well as to implement prize money for outstanding papers and other publications.

Parents' Association is run by volunteers from parents each fiscal year and is an organization without a dedicated institution. Therefore, while we are greatly supported by the support of everyone at Administrative Department of University, daily communication and collaboration with students, their organizations, and faculty are essential for enhancing the quality of our activities.

Going forward, we will continue to carefully monitor budget execution, verify that membership fees are being used appropriately, and carefully gather voices through dialogue. Students, Parents' Association, and the school will work together with all officers to support each other from their respective perspectives and realize a better student life. We sincerely ask for your continued understanding and cooperation with Parents' Association 's activities.
