English JAM in MCVを開催しました（5/10）

5月10日(木)にEnglish JAMとMCVのコラボレーションイベントを行いました。
Ice BreakingではCollect Birth Monthsというゲームを行いました。一度にそれぞれの参加者がたくさんの人と話す機会が持て、終わった後は緊張もほぐれたようでした。
メインセッションでは、Song Transcriptionという英語の曲を聞いて歌詞を書きとるゲームとWord Athleticという英単語を使って遊ぶゲームを行いました。Song Transcriptionは聞き取るのが難しいという意見もありましたが、キャッチーなサビで耳にも残りやすく、英語の歌を使って英語学習に親しむいい機会になったかと思います。Word Athleticはチーム対抗戦のゲームとして行いました。少し難しめな単語もゲームとしてやることで楽しく学べたという意見が参加者のみなさんからありました。
 
今回のイベントは去年行ったMCVコラボレーションイベントより参加者が少なかったのですが、結果的に一人一人がゲームにしっかりと参加する機会を持てました。また、MCVでの開催ということで留学生にも参加してもらい、日本人の学生にもいい刺激になったようです。
 
来年もまた楽しいアクティビティを用意して、たくさんの学生の参加をお待ちしております。
 
 
We held the English JAM event at MCV on May 10th.
 
First of all, we played "Collect Birth Months" as an ice breaking. Participants could talk with other students a lot, so they seemed to get used to the atmosphere of the event after the game.
 
For the main session, we prepared two sessions, "Song Transcription"　and "Word Athletic". 
 
"Song Transcription" is a game that you listen to a song and catch the lyrics. Some participants said it was quite difficult to get the answer.  But it was a catchy song and this session became a good opportunity to learn English through the English song with fun. 
 
In "Word Athletic", we played two games using English words. Most participants were enjoying playing these games. Some participants said learning English words while having fun was good for remembering. 
 
All in all, we believe all participants could enjoy our event. We were very glad that it was successful and hope to have the same event again next year. We are looking forward to many participants coming.
