Department of Sociology Professor Takemasa Ando 's book "Cultivating Hong Kong: Freedom and Democratization Movement through Agriculture" has won the 42nd Masayoshi Ohira Memorial Award. This award is given by the Masayoshi Ohira Memorial Foundation to recognize outstanding works on politics, economy, culture, science and technology that contribute to the development of the Trans-Pacific Solidarity Initiative.
