Winning works

Excellence Award: 200,000 yen

"Business to robotize business carts by retrofitting" (business to automatically drive existing business carts by retrofitting)
Hosei University Graduate School of Science and Engineering Master's Course 1st year

Comments from the judging committee:
Initially, the company manufactures and sells products developed for the purpose of solving the disparity in dispatch that occurs in the sharing service of electric micromobility (electric scooters and electric motorcycles). Specifically, wheels are attached to motorcycles and business carts as a retrofit to make them run automatically. It is at the point of experimentation for social implementation, and the market is expected to expand in the future.

Runner-up Prize: 100,000 yen

Runner-up Excellence Award
"Visitas" (automating "chores" in home visits with AI to maximize the time doctors spend with patients)
University of Tsukuba School of Medicine, 3rd year (2 students), Waseda University Faculty of Cultural Planning, 2nd year, International Christian University Faculty of Liberal Arts 4th year

Comments from the judging committee:
He develops software that can reduce the chores of doctors involved in home visits. With the cooperation of the clinic, preliminary verification is being conducted. I hope that the government will not only reduce the chores (backyard) of doctors, but also improve the efficiency of the entire system of home visits.

Special Jury Award: 50,000 yen

Special Jury Prize
"Gakuma ~Easy trading at school~" (flea market service completed within the live activity line of university students)
Doshisha University, Faculty of Policy Studies, 3rd year

Comments from the judging committee:
The so-called market for buying and selling second-hand goods is already sufficiently developed, including online and physical stores, but by deliberately narrowing down market participants to university students, they are trying to capture a niche market that is not available in existing services. In the future, I would like you to first conduct more thorough competitive analysis and focus on making the characteristics of your own services clearer.
Special Jury Prize
"Uono leather" (Fish skin is processed into fish leather and ODM contract production is carried out to revitalize fishing village areas)
The University of Tokyo Faculty of Economics 3rd year, the University of Tokyo Faculty of Liberal Arts Master's Course Liberal Arts 2nd Year 2nd year, The University of Tokyo Faculty of Liberal Arts Master's Course Science 2nd Year

We evaluated that we focused on fish skin (fish leather), which is commonly used overseas, and that it would lead to reducing marine waste. Although we are in the stage of demonstrating for commercialization, there are many obstacles to overcome, such as securing stable raw materials, establishing competitiveness in manufacturing, and developing products and disseminating information using new materials. I hope that they will make planned and patient efforts.
Special Jury Prize
"Neighborhood Sitter" (a community-based childcare support service that connects local residents with child-rearing households)
Musashi University Faculty of Economics 2 years

Comments from the judging committee:
Raising children in the community, not individual family units. In modern society, the burden of child-rearing has been concentrated on the family. The plan asks from a business perspective what can be done to return to the origins of child-rearing. There may be a long way to go to bring out the potential of the neighborhood association, but I hope that it will move forward step by step and realize it.
