Professor Sae Kitamura of Department of British and American Studies has published "Shakespeare: What They Don't Teach You in School."

A word from the author

"Shakespeare is not taught in school"
This book does not consider Shakespeare as a complete entity in itself, but explores the various worlds that unfold from his works. While it does introduce knowledge in the so-called "introduction to Shakespeare" style, it also touches on many topics that make you wonder what on earth they have to do with Shakespeare, such as tourism, distribution, gender, race, and critical theory. As you read, you will see that these topics are all actually connected to Shakespeare. To me, Shakespeare is like a convenient window for connecting with the world, finding joy, and making life more interesting.
