We are looking for teams to participate in the 6th Musashi University Business Plan Contest
To support university students in starting their own businesses, Musashi University will be holding the 6th Musashi University Business Plan Contest on Saturday, February 14, 2026. Please see the flyer for details.
Applications are open not only to current students of our university, but also to students of other graduate schools (up to master's level), universities, and technical colleges. The winner of the Grand Prize will receive a prize of 1 million yen. The application deadline is Monday, January 5, 2026, at 6:00 PM.
We look forward to receiving business plans from many students that will turn their ideas into reality.

Eligibility
- This program is open to graduate students, university students, and technical college students.
- Applications are open not only to students of Musashi University, but to students of any graduate school, university, or technical college.
- Mixed teams of students from different universities and schools are also possible.
- Graduate students up to the master's level are eligible.
- For technical college students, please include at least one member who is in their fourth year or above.
- Only 10 teams will be selected through a document screening process to participate.
- Only plans that have not been published in other business plan contests are accepted.
Contest Overview
- The top 10 teams will be selected from the applicants through a document screening process and will make a presentation on the day of the contest.
- Date and time: Saturday, February 14, 2026
- Venue: Musashi University Room 1101 (Building 1, 1st floor)
Prize Money
Grand Prize (Toshio Matsui Award): 1 million yen
Runner-up prize: 500,000 yen
Excellence Award: 200,000 yen
Second Prize: 100,000 yen
Special Jury Prize: 50,000 yen

How to Apply
(Both (1) and (2) must be completed by the deadline.)

Required Application Documents

- Enter the name of the business plan, the affiliation and names of all team members (maximum of 4 people), and email address (if there are multiple members, only the representative's email address)
- Describe your business in one word...
- Business philosophy and mission (what kind of society do you want to create through your business)
- Products and services provided
- Target market (who will buy it, when, and for what purpose)
- Novelty and originality of the business
- Are there any similar products or services?
- What will your business look like in five years? (Use appropriate indicators such as sales, number of users, etc.)
- Finally, let's promote ourselves once again
- Do you have plans to actually start?
Points to note when preparing documents
- The presentation on the day of the contest will be 10 minutes long, so please prepare your submission taking this time into consideration.
- Applicants are responsible for obtaining intellectual property rights, such as patents, for their submitted plans as necessary. At the presentation venue, participants will not be required to submit any confidentiality documents.
Important points to note when applying
- If you are unable to upload your application materials, we will accept them via email. Please attach a PDF file and send it by the deadline from the "representative email address" registered on the application form.
- If you send by email, please include the following information: In the email subject line, please write "Musashi University Business Plan Contest Application Materials," and in the body of the email, please include the representative's name, university name, email address, and a note that you were unable to attach the materials to the application form.
