A lecture to understand the charm of Poland was held.
On October 5, 2026, we held "The Charm of Poland ~60 Minutes on Tourism, Culture, and Food~."
We invited Ms. Maria Ożeł (Director of the Tokyo Branch of the Polish Government Tourism Bureau) as the lecturer, who introduced Poland's history, culture, tourism resources, and food culture. This lecture was held with the aim of deepening students' understanding of Poland, following last year's Partnership Agreement agreement with the University of Warsaw.

The lecture introduced tourism resources such as the capital Warsaw, Krakow, Gdańsk, Wrocław, as well as the World Heritage site Krakow Historic District and Malbork Castle. Poland's diverse charms were clearly presented through beautiful cityscapes and rich natural photographs.
In the fields of culture and the arts, world-renowned figures such as composer Chopin, astronomer Copernicus, and Nobel laureate Maria Skłodowska = Curie were introduced to originate from Poland. Furthermore, regarding food culture, representative home-style dishes such as pierogi and bigos, traditional soups like jurek, and pastries like ponchiki were featured, allowing participants to experience the charm of Polish culture through food.
At the end of the lecture, a video showcasing the attractions of various parts of Poland was shown, giving participants the opportunity to feel closer to the local landscapes and culture.
This lecture provided participants with a valuable opportunity to learn about Poland's history, culture, and tourism resources, and to feel closer to different cultures and the world. Our university will continue to promote initiatives that promote international understanding and raise interest in studying abroad.
