[Interdisciplinary Seminar] Volunteer students donate paper cranes to Hiroshima as a prayer for peace

The "Cross-Faculty Seminar Alumni," a group of volunteer students who have taken Musashi University University Cross-Faculty Seminar Project (subject name: Cross-Faculty Problem-Solving Project), will donate approximately 600 paper cranes to the Children's Peace Monument in Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park.
This initiative was one of the projects that the "Cross-Faculty Seminar Alumni" exhibited at the "73rd Shirakijisai" (school festival) held in early November, and the origami was provided by Takeo Co., Ltd., the company that provided the assignments for the spring semester of 2025.

The idea for this project came from a visit to Hiroshima to tour the headquarters of Otafuku Sauce Co., Ltd., the company providing the assignment for the spring semester of 2023. During the visit, the student also visited the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, deepening his feelings for peace, which led to the creation of this project.
The "Cross-departmental Seminar Alumni" origami crane project at Shirakijisai attracted people of all ages, from young children to adults, and students and visitors enjoyed making origami cranes together. Everyone there naturally had a smile on their face, and it seemed to create a heartwarming moment.
The cranes, filled with the thoughts of many people, are scheduled to be sent out in December.
The students said, "We are pleased that we were able to think about what we could do and put it into practice with the cooperation of the company."
